Meeting our partners- Solomon
Solomon Safari (far left) started the Makao House of Grace Church hoping to reach the slum of Kawangware, Kenya for Christ. After opening the church he quickly realized in order to meet the spiritual needs of his community, it would be necessary to meet their physical needs first. With that in mind he opened Elim Primary School and started enrolling the community’s most desperate children and families. He works tirelessly to advocate for the needs of his people and we are thankful for his leadership.

Meeting our partners- Cammeline
Cammeline Walukayah has recently joined Anistemi and Elim as the financial director and liaison. She is passionate about giving back to underserved communities and believes in the power of education as a key tool for ecomonic empowerment. She is working to establish Elim as a self-sustainable institution which can thrive for generations to come.

Elim- Current Day

The most vulnerable children in the slums outside of Nairobi were at risk of losing their educational opportunities. With Solomon's help Anistemi was able to purchase land in December 2021, and a new school building was completed two years later to serve the over 200 students at the Elim Primary School.
The final floor of Elim School is underway. The new addition will allow us to open the school to grades 8 and 9 increasing our enrollment to well over 300.
A safe, quality education will provide the best opportunity for these children to escape the poverty they experience every day.
Elim was ranked #9 in their district, marking a significant milestone, driving increased enrollment and further reinforcing our positive impact on the community. So many blessings made this possible. In total, over $300,000 was raised and sent to Kenya to make this project a reality.

Anistemi believes in investing in our partners. Currently twenty nine teachers and Anistemi support staff are employed at Elim Primary and Secondary School.

Investing in Small, Women Owned Businesses
Stories abound of women in this community who are single or widowed. They remain trapped in poverty with no education and feel stuck. Anistemi has recently begun to invest in small businesses for these women…and it’s working. 10 women so far have gained skills, confidence and a future.

The Martin family visited Kenya in February, 2024. While there, they met Pastor Janette (white dress in video) who followed a vision from God and began serving some of the most vulnerable children in the neighboring slum, Kangemi. She started a school very similar to Elim when Solomon first started. Anistemi is partnering with Janette to ensure the 230 children she serves at Fadhili Community Development Center are fed while at school. The video shows the hundreds of students being served lunch.

Fadhili needs significant support to continue their mission. Please pray Anistemi can assist.
